Someone to Talk to About Abuse

Experiencing abuse - whether emotional, physical, or psychological - can be deeply painful and isolating. It can make you feel trapped, powerless, or unsure of where to turn. No one deserves to be mistreated, and seeking support is an important step toward healing. Recognizing that what happened to you is not your fault is the first step in regaining control and rebuilding your sense of self.

Talking to someone about your experience can provide relief, validation, and reassurance that you are not alone. Whether you’re currently facing abuse or working through past trauma, connecting with a compassionate listener can help you process your emotions and explore ways to protect your well-being. Having a safe space to share can make it easier to take steps toward healing and empowerment.

At 7 Cups, trained listeners offer a judgment-free space where you can express your thoughts and feelings openly. You deserve to be heard, understood, and supported. If you’re looking for guidance, resources, or just someone to listen, reaching out can be the beginning of reclaiming your strength.

Tell me your trauma. Any secrets you want to scream into the void? I promise I’ve heard worse. Honestly I want to be surprised at this point lolI like to ask questions and make assumptions about other people. I like to poke and prod, so bear with me. Please let me know if any of my assumptions or questions are wrong or offend you, cause I often can be wrong. I want to mirror what I got from reading your words. I read into things a lot and wonder about very specific words sometimes and None the next minute. Everything is intended to come from a judgement-free place and I honestly just want to know more because complex human emotions are so interesting. If I can help anyone who hasn’t been seen in a while feel my eyes, or someone who has been shouting finally be heard for a little bit, it makes me feel useful. It sucks when you know your problem, know where it comes from, know why you feel that way, know what helps you feel better, know you’ve been making excuses, know what your excuses are, know how to take steps to get better, know your actual roadblocks, give yourself grace for not following everything to a t, and still feel like shit whether you work on yourself, or not, or want to, or not. I get it. Just humor me and explain it to me. It may help letting it off your mind for a second later.feel free to use me as a journal when I am away, and a friendly stranger when I’m here.(Disclaimer: please be aware that I do divide my time sometimes between multiple chats, or between chores and cooking etc. I may be inconsistent sometimes cause life gets in the way. If you need my full undivided attention, be honest, instead of leaving a bad rating. Please just find another listener. No offense, but I have a life and free will, as do you. I do not owe you anything just because I know your trauma or engage in conversation with you. Please respect my boundaries when I have to leave.)Also I am not a doctor or medical professional. Please seek therapy with a professional if you are able to. I can not provide certain things.also if there is a song you feel so strongly about for one reason or another, I must hear it!
